Hieperdepiep! Carole King is op 9 februari jarig en wordt 76 jaar. De succesvolle singer-songwriter stond in 2017 met 'You've Got A Friend' in de Evergreen Top 1000.
'You've Got A Friend'
'You've Got A Friend' is afkomstig van het legendarische album Tapestry uit 1971. Carole King schrijft dit nummer, maar zanger James Taylor heeft net iets meer bekendheid met het nummer dan King zelf. Desalniettemin staat Carole King met 'You've Got A Friend' in 2017 op nummer 826 in de Evergreen Top 1000.

Succesvolle singer-songwriter
King begint haar carrière met haar man Gerry Goffin in de beroemde Brill Building. Met dit songschrijvers kantorengebouw als uitvalsbasis schrijven ze minstens 100 hits, waaronder 'You Make Me Feel Like A Natural Woman' van Aretha Franklin, 'Crying In The Rain' van The Everly Brothers en 'Pleasant Valley' van The Monkees.
